Visiting Your Child
Parents and families are welcome to visit and to take your child out for an exeat. There is so much to explore around the Gers region, you can choose to stay locally, enjoy a city break in Toulouse or Carcassonne, or even spend your weekend skiing or hiking in the Pyrenees.
Exeats are available on any weekend, excluding the first and last weekend of each half term. You can pick your child up from 12:30 p.m. on a Friday (refreshments with the staff will be available from 12:00 p.m. if you arrive early), and drop them back anytime before 10:30 a.m. on the following Monday.
Our closest airport is Toulouse and there are regular flights from Heathrow Terminal 5 with British Airways, from Gatwick with EasyJet and Stansted with RyanAir. Bristol also has direct flights with EasyJet.
The Château is approximately a 45 minute drive from Toulouse Blagnac Airport. Many parents wish to hire a car so they can spend time exploring the region and it is often more affordable than multiple taxis.
Most parents hire cars from Toulouse airport at Blagnac. They have often found it quicker to hire on the spot at the airport, rather than booking in advance, but there is the risk that the right car for you may not be available, but queues can be notorious on a Friday morning. Some of the car hire companies available at the airport are: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt.
If you do not fancy driving yourself, Sauveterre parents have access to a special rate from a 5 star taxi service. The cost of 120 euros for a one way trip from the airport to school (or vice versa) is less than you would pay for a taxi from the airport, plus you will enjoy the most comfortable ride possible. Please visit Pinazel Luxury Food & Wine Tours for more info and booking.
